When I set out to write The Rising, I wanted to create something epic that captured all the elements of horror I enjoyed so much as a kid. Before I knew it, I had a whole series of books on my hands: each one a love letter to a different sub-genre, so I hope you enjoy the ride. With any luck you’ll discover a group of friends along the way that you can laugh, jump, and cry with, but ultimately relate to and root for as you join them on their journey into darkness.
